What does an engineer check before uploading a part for production?
They check the process and material combination, the build envelope and achievable tolerance, and what happens to their file after they upload it. The intellectual property statement matters as much as the tolerance table, because the part being uploaded is often the customer's core design.

Questions suppliers ask
How do we handle customer files responsibly?
Say where files are stored, who can access them, whether an NDA is signed before upload, and whether files are deleted after a stated period. Publishing the policy converts a private worry into a reason to choose you.
Should we publish an instant quote tool?
Only if the quote it returns is one you will honour. An instant price that is later corrected upward damages trust more than having no tool. If the geometry range is too wide to automate, publish a price basis instead — what drives the number up and down.
Is a parts gallery useful?
Only with process, material, tolerance and approximate size labelled on each part. An unlabelled gallery is decoration. The same photographs with four data points each become the capability evidence an engineer is actually looking for.
