Why do rubber parts fail more often from compound than dimension?
Because a dimensionally perfect part in the wrong compound swells, hardens or cracks in service. Publishing fluid and temperature compatibility data alongside each compound helps buyers avoid the failure, and positions you as the supplier who understood the application.
Should we recommend compounds for applications we have not tested?
Recommend from data, and say where a trial is needed. Compound selection based on published resistance data is normal practice; claiming certainty about an untested fluid combination produces a field failure that costs more than the order.
What is worth publishing about capability?
Press sizes and tonnages, hardness range, achievable tolerance and the compounds you run regularly. Buyers match a part to a shop on exactly those four things, and shops that publish them receive drawings that fit rather than enquiries they must decline.
