What does a buyer check before specifying a boiler?

They check steam or heat output at the design pressure, the fuels supported, and the pressure vessel code the boiler is built and certified to. Code certification is not a feature; without it the boiler cannot legally be installed in most jurisdictions.

The one the buyer's jurisdiction requires, named explicitly, along with any others you hold. Boiler codes are not interchangeable, and a buyer needs to see their own code named rather than a general claim of compliance with international standards.

How should efficiency be presented?

As a curve or table across the load range, with the measurement method and the fuel stated. Boilers spend most of their life at part load, and a single full-load figure describes an operating point the plant will rarely see.

What should a replacement project page cover?

Footprint comparison, connection compatibility, installation duration and what happens to steam supply during the changeover. Replacement is most boiler purchases, and the practical questions about the shutdown decide the order more often than efficiency does.
