Why B2B company details must match everywhere

What happens when the website, Google profile, LinkedIn page, directories, and sales documents disagree.

Small inconsistencies create unnecessary doubt

A changed address, old phone number, missing plant location, different legal name, or outdated product description may look minor inside the business. To a new buyer, it creates a verification problem.

The buyer must decide which source is current before they can decide whether the supplier is a fit.

Choose an approved source for each fact

Company name, legal identity, addresses, contact routes, product families, locations, certifications, and market claims should have an owner and a source.

Brand Memory can keep the approved version together. External profiles still require the right access and approval before any change is made.

Check the surfaces a buyer actually uses

The relevant set may include the website, Google Business Profile or Maps, LinkedIn, marketplaces, directories, trade associations, catalogues, and quotation documents.

Record what was checked, when it was checked, and what could not be accessed. A profile that was not checked should not be reported as wrong or missing.
